Our center has specially-trained staff to ensure Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces receive maximum employment and training opportunities. As an eligible veteran and spouse, you qualify for priority of service and have access to the services and resources available at any of the American Job Center's of California locations.

The primary objective of the Veterans Program is to develop and support programs that increase opportunities for Veterans to obtain employment and job training in California.

Veteran Services Offered:

  • Comprehensive assessment of education, skills and abilities.
  • Assistance with developing an individual employment plan and employment goals.
  • Career counseling and labor market information.
  • Workshops to help you become job ready.
  • Job referrals.
  • Job development opportunities with potential employers.

As an eligible Veteran, you are entitled to receive a Priority of Service which includes:

  • As a registered Veteran in CalJOBS you have access to job orders the first 24 hours before the general public.  EDD places a 24 hour hold on job orders allowing Veterans to learn about available jobs before the rest of the job seeking public.
  • Placement of qualified Veterans' résumés before non-veterans' résumés on job order screens that are viewed by EDD staff or prospective employers.
  • Other services included (but not limited to): referrals for Veteran issues, outreach to employers through job fairs, workshops, recruitments, and group or individual career center orientation.
