Retail Industry Fundamentals training and certification program

The San Diego Workforce Partnership will be providing a freer retail training designed to prepare participants for a career in the retail industry. The one week course will provide participants with  Retail Industry Fundamentals training and certification program powered by the National Retail Federation (NRF).  Some of the participating retailer that recognize this credential are: The Home Depot, Macy's, Neiman Marcus/Group, Target, Walmart, and Wendy's.


  Retail Industry Fundamentals training and certification program
Participants will learn retail tools and technology, customer service, inventory, retail math and interviewing-transferable skills necessary for professions inside and outside the industry. The training is offered at not cost to participants!
 
A course is one (1) week long, Mon-Fri. Each cohort should have a maximum of 15 students; there are no requirements for the students, other than feeling comfortable receiving training in English and having good computer literacy.
 
Mon-Thu schedule is 10am to 4pm.
Fri schedule is 10am to 2pm.
 
Mon-Thu students receive the training, on Friday they get a review of all the content learned and test after that.

There are  three cohorts to date with more available in the coming year.

The cohorts are as follows:
December 4th-8th.
January 22nd -26th.
February 5th -9th.
